Restaurant Introduction

可瘾 Teppanyaki Washoku restaurant interior

可瘾 Teppanyaki Washoku (Changqing Branch) is located at Door 7, No. 2-25, Changqing South Street. It's a small Japanese teppanyaki spot. The decor is warm wood with soft lighting — not big, but cozy. Signature dishes include teppanyaki wagyu beef cubes, cheesy baked scallops, and Japanese-style fried rice. The beef cubes are well-cooked, tender and juicy. The scallops come with rich, creamy cheese and thick meat. The best part is sitting at the counter, watching the chef cook everything fresh on the iron plate — hot, sizzling, and full of flavor. Average spend is about 150 RMB per person. It's easy to get to: take Metro Line 1 to Changqing South Street Station, Exit C, then walk five minutes. Weekends are busy, so booking ahead is a good idea.

Diner Reviews

Finally tried 可瘾 and it was worth it. The place has that Japanese wooden style with warm lights – super cozy. Sitting at the counter watching the chef cook is already a treat. When the beef cubes started sizzling on the teppan, I couldn’t wait. The wagyu beef cubes were so tender – juicy when you bite into them. The cheesy scallops were rich and creamy, and the scallop meat was thick. The Japanese fried rice is stir-fried with the leftover heat from the teppan – each grain separate. Around 150 RMB per person. This is my go-to teppanyaki spot from now on.

可瘾 Teppanyaki Washoku teppanyaki review

Found this hidden little place and had to check it out. The wagyu beef cubes were cooked perfectly – tender and juicy. The cheesy scallops had bouncy meat and the cheese was stretchy. Service was nice too – they explained a bit about each dish. The biggest surprise was the Japanese fried rice. Looks simple but tastes amazing. A five-minute walk from Exit C of Changqing Nanjie Station. Next time I come on a weekend, I’ll definitely book ahead – I’m afraid there will be a line.
