Restaurant Name:江之岛 Teppanyaki
Address:No. 16, Tongzilin East Road (Back Gate of Jinxiu Garden), Chengdu, Sichuan, China
Restaurant Introduction:

This is a rather stylish Japanese restaurant — I visited a while ago but never got around to writing a review. The landscape design right at the entrance was already very thoughtful. As soon as you step inside, there are tatami-style private rooms on both the left and right. Further in, you’ll find other private rooms in various sizes and styles.
Diner Reviews:
“This is a well-established Japanese restaurant in Tongzilin. The food was excellent — the salmon belly was fresh, the tempura batter was nice and thin, and the chef is truly skilled. What impressed me most was the service: the staff kept apologizing for the slow kitchen, and as a gesture, they gave us a free sashimi platter and some melon.“

“Since we made a last-minute reservation just before the Lunar New Year, only the last private room was left. That meant the teppanyaki set we ordered couldn’t be cooked right at our table. Even so, the pacing of the dishes was smooth, the service was excellent, and the portions were so generous that toward the end, everyone was too full to eat anymore.“
