Restaurant Introduction

Haidilao's first hot pot food stall in Shanghai is located on the 4th floor of Jinyulan Plaza, No. 1 Dapu Road, Huangpu District. Breaking away from the traditional restaurant concept, it adopts a "self-service, affordable, open-layout" food stall model. The interior features a circulating flow path that connects various "flavor islands" — seafood, freshly cut meats, teppanyaki, and more — allowing customers to wander freely like at a market and choose from over 200 ingredients. Dishes are priced by the plate at reasonable rates, and the restaurant offers a "one-pot-per-person" dining format. While preserving the lively street-food atmosphere, the venue also incorporates smart plates, a cloud-rail delivery system, and other technological touches to enhance convenience and comfort for diners.
Diner Reviews
It was my first time at the Haidilao food stall. I went relatively early on the weekend, so I didn't have to queue. However, it was a bit hard to find the way from the parking lot to the restaurant – I'd suggest putting up some direction signs. Oh, and you also pick your own soup base. As soon as you enter, you see all kinds of dishes laid out, and you can grab a small cart to help yourself to whatever you want.

It’s quite different from the traditional Haidilao service model — the focus is on self-selected dishes, with a wide variety of seafood. Since I discovered this place, I’ve come back three or four times in a row. Parking is also pretty convenient. There are tons of seats, but you still have to queue during peak hours.
