Restaurant Introduction:

Amidst the bustling prosperity of the Gubei Hongqiao foreign-style villa area, Nanyuan Teppanyaki is like a hidden pearl — unassuming yet radiating a unique charm. As you step inside, a classical and elegant Japanese courtyard gracefully unfolds before you, as if you have instantly entered a tranquil world far removed from the hustle and bustle. Diner Reviews:
“This place is located in the upscale Hongqiao area, but it feels like a quiet escape from all the hustle and bustle. As soon as you step into the courtyard, you feel like you’re in a Japanese garden. Inside, it’s all private rooms — the privacy is really well preserved. Each room has its own dedicated staff who help arrange the plating and hand you your utensils. There’s also a chef exclusively for your teppanyaki, and his skills are really nice. Communication is smooth, and he can adjust the dishes according to your requests.“

“This teppanyaki place has been around for a long time. Honestly, the high-end teppanyaki spots near Gubei are pretty much the same—seafood, good steak, and Taiwanese chefs. The ingredients are fresh, the service is good, and the chef doesn’t go overboard with butter. Overall, I’m very satisfied. The atmosphere is elegant and perfect for small group gatherings.“
